The Officina Agricola was originally set up in the Parco Tecnologico Padano at Lodi. Later, a production facility was opened at Montecelli Pavese, a small, quiet, sunny village set between two bends in the River Po, in Lombardy almost on the border with Emilia Romagna.
The site includes an orchard -- where we cultivate heirloom tomatoes and apples, quinces and grapes – and an extensive vegetable garden. The production laboratory, equipped with the most innovative food processing machine, is located in the recently restructured lodge where its modernity fits in well with the natural setting of the site.
Over 5,000 tomato plants are grown according to traditional methods in the garden.
The varieties (Kumato, Seaman, Cherry, Principe Borghese and Black Krim) are chosen to satisfy consumers who while still wanting that pleasure that comes from “good things made like they used to be” are increasingly selective about nutritional quality.
